Woman Raped While Walking Along Sebastopol Street

The female told police the suspect was under 30, thin, white or Hispanic, 6 feet tall and with combed-back hair.

A woman walking along a street in Sebastopol was forced into a secluded area and raped on Sunday night, according to police.

The 51-year-old victim said she was raped at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the area of Pitt Avenue near Keating Avenue, police said. She said she did not know the suspect, described as a white or Hispanic man probably under the age of 30 who is about 6 feet tall, “kind of skinny” with combed-back hair, police said.

The suspect wore dark pants and possible a dark jacket. The victim reported hearing a vehicle drive away after the assault but said she wasn’t certain if it was related.

She said she saw a small white car with a long rear window parked nearby prior to the rape and it was gone by the time she departed the area, according to police.
