• Sample the Sierra is a celebration of Tahoe's food, drinks, art and community (southtahoenow.com) — South Lake Tahoe residents can look forward to Sample the Sierra returning this Saturday, Sept. 19, at Bijou Community Park, featuring food and drink tastings plus live music. From 1–4 p.m., local chefs, wineries, breweries, and artisans will showcase their best, with family-friendly admission and free entry for kids 8 and under.
   

• Step into the shoes of neighbors facing financial hardship at "Cost of Poverty Experience" simulation and workshop (southtahoenow.com) — South Lake Tahoe and Stateline neighbors are invited to the free Cost of Poverty Experience workshop on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Kahle Community Center. Participants and volunteers will role-play local families and service providers, gaining insight into the financial pressures and systemic barriers many nearby residents face while also earning CEUs for eligible professionals.
