Azalea Car Show Cancelled

The has cancelled the third annual Greenspan Classic Azalea Car Show that was to take place this Sunday at . A strong possibility of rain has forced organizers to annual the show.

“We have to cancel the car show because the high likelihood of rain,” said Catalina Salazar, executive director of the South Gate Chamber of Commerce. “The current forecast is for heavy rain from Friday [through] Monday.”

The chamber along with organizers will discuss plans on rescheduling the event tomorrow. 

“My best guess is that it will be May,” said Salazar. “We will have a committee meeting to look at our options and make quality decision.”

Anybody who has paid for a sponsorship opportunity, vendor booth or entry fee for their vehicle will have the choice of asking for a refund, or of carrying over their payment to the soon to be rescheduled show.

“Participants will have the option of either being refunded or moving forward with us to the hopeful date,” said Salazar.
