Hit and Run Drunk Driver Booked at Lynwood Jail After Fleeing Scene
The driver fled the scene early Monday morning, leaving the injured victim by herself.

A man who confessed to fleeing the scene of a car accident after he hit another driver on Alameda Avenue in Compton, was arrested by Sheriff deputies, Monday.
According to officials, the man was driving a blue Chevrolet Blazer while under the influence of alcohol, when he was involved in a head on traffic collision with a female driver in a white Infinity Q35 on Alameda Avenue, north of Mealy Street at 6:32 a.m. on Monday.

He immediately fled the scene without helping the injured woman, who currently remains hospitalized as a result of the accident.
Authorities said the man, identified as Hispanic, had a can of paint in the car, which had ruptured upon impact.

Information was then broadcast regarding the suspect who they believed would be covered in the paint that splashed in part of the car.
With the information, responding deputies captured the suspect on 133rd Street and Mona Avenue in Willowbrook, with paint in his clothing matching the one from the ruptured can.
After confessing to the hit and run he was brought back to the crime scene and subsequently booked at the Century Regional Detention Facility, according to authorities.
