L.A. County Gas Prices Fall
County casoline prices have fallen for the eighth consecutive day.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its eighth consecutive daily decline today, dropping four-tenths of a cent to $4.136.
The average price is 1.8 cents less than one week ago and a half-cent lower than one month ago but 25.4 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped 2.1 cents over the past eight days, including three-tenths of a cent on Thursday.
The Orange County average price fell one-tenth of a cent today to $4.111, one day after a stretch of 15 decreases over 16 days ended the price remaining unchanged.

The Orange County average price is 1.3 cents less than one week ago and
1 cent lower than one month ago but 26 cents higher than one year ago.
"There's been a big dip in oil prices in the last week, but that hasn't
yet made it's way to the pumps,'' said Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club
of Southern California. "For the last two to three weeks, bargain shoppers
have been able to pay pump prices that are less than $4 a gallon.''
