Lynwood Farmers Market Extended to Every Thursday in September

The City of Lynwood's Community Development Department is proud to bring to the Community and Surrounding Communities its first of its kind, Farmers Market. The Lynwood Farmer's Market was launched on July 11, 2013 and was scheduled to end on August 29, 2013 but the City Council this week approved an extension for the open-air market. Taking place every Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yvonne Burke/Ham Park, the Lynwood Farmer's Market offers residents and passers-by fresh produce and products, breads, specialty coffees, nuts and grains, a pop-corn vendor, a snow-cone vendor, prepared foods vendors and novelty item vendors. The Lynwood The Farmers Market is part of the City of Lynwood's Healthy Cities Initiative to encourage residents to eat healthy. The Farmer's Market will continue to coincide with the City's Movies in the Park Series on Aug. 22 and 29. Movies are shown after 8 p.m. What a great way to kick off the weekend: a stroll through your very own Farmers Market, buy fresh produce, extend a blanket in the park with your family and watch a movie under the stars!
