The staff members at the Lynwood Senior Citizens Center are beginning to prepare for their annual turkey give away.
Senior residents of Lynwood, age 65 and over, can sign up for the on November 8 to participate in the November 19 free turkey give away, which hopes to hand out more than 200 turkeys on a first come, first serve basis.

According to a city issued press-release, Rozie Carrillo, the person in charge of overseeing the Senior Citizens Center, has stated that she is hoping for more donations, in the form of turkeys or cash, since a wait list of about 50 people or more tends to form for the event.
The giveaway will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on November 19th, and only one turkey will be given out per household.
