New Officers Hired and Resident Recognized for Service / Nuevos Policías Contratados y Una Residente fue Reconocida por Su Servicio
Two new officers were introduced to the South Gate City Council and a resident was honored / Los nuevos policías se presentaron ante el Concejo Municipal y una residente fue galardonada.
Officers Ivan Sanchez and Eder Vergara are the newest members of the . Both were introduced to the South Gate and expressed joy at being part of South Gate's municipal police.
"I look forward to working with this community," said Sanchez.

"Thanks to the city of South Gate my dream ha scome true," said Vergara.
Resident Maria Navarro was also honored with certificate of appreciation for having received the 2012 Woman of Distinction Award from the 50th assembly district for her service to the community.

"I am very proud of being from this Community," said Navarro. "Thank you for this recognition."
