Project HOPE to Carry Out Curb Painting in South Gate

City Officials announced that Project HOPE will be the only agency authorized to repaint curb addresses in South Gate.

Project HOPE is the only agency authorized to repaint curb addresses in South Gate, city officials announced today. Residents may be asked on a voluntary basis for a maximum donation of $15 to paint addresses on the curbs by Project HOPE representatives.

Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go to , a nonprofit organization providing family counseling and parenting education programs with a focus on juvenile delinquency in South Gate.

Representatives of Project HOPE must carry identification, an authorized flier and permit with them at all times. Residents approached by any others wanting to paint addresses on curbs are asked to contact South Gate police.
