Vehicle Collisions Take Place on Firestone

Four motorists collided at Firestone Boulevard as they drove from various directions near the intersection with California Avenue. estimated that the crash took place around 10:25 a.m. 

“We received a call to assist with a traffic collision with injuries,” said Sgt. of the South Gate Police Department. “Two people were transported with injuries, one with minor and another with serious injuries.”

One of the injured motorists worked in code enforcement for the city of South Gate and was driving a municipal vehicle.

“The city employee was the one with serious injuries,” said Dahlia.

The police could not immediately confirm whether there were any passengers or more vehicles involved in the crash.

“We do not know if any of the other vehicles had passengers,” said Dahlia. “ All we know is that there were four vehicles involved and two people transported.”

It was not clear what led to the accident.

“It’s a little too early to tell as to why the accident happened and whose fault it is,” said Dahlia. “We are still compiling witness statements.“
