Actor Jamie Dornan Reveals His Own 'Shades of Grey'

It appears that Jamie Dornan needed to see some ‘shades of grey’ firsthand to prepare for the role of bondage-loving billionaire Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film.

According to Elle UK, the star visited a sex dungeon to gain some insight.

“I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did…whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives,” Dornan says.

The 32-year-old Irish actor was doing his research on his character, who has his own ‘red room of pain’ in the story. In Dornan’s real life visit, there was plenty of kink... and plenty of laughter.

“I was like, ‘Come on guys I know I’m not paying for this but I am expecting a show,’” he said. “It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them.”

The highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey film is an on-screen adaptation of E. L. James’ erotic romance novel by the same title. It is in theaters Valentine’s Day, 2015.
