Author Talk: Shauna Sever

South San Francisco Public Library is excited to host Shauna Sever, author of Real Sweet: More Than 80 Crave-Worthy Treats Made with Natural Sugars, for a discussion, book signing, and tasting. Real Sweet is a modern baking book packed with delicious recipes using only natural, unrefined, and readily-available alternative sweeteners.

Shauna Sever is The Next Door Baker and the author of Marshmallow Madness! and Pure Vanilla. She writes the popular food blog, Piece of Cake, and launched Bake Sale Bakery, a small-batch baking and dessert catering business. After working as a television host and entertainment correspondent for the likes of Extra and TV Guide Network, she followed her sweet tooth into the world of baking and desserts. When not writing, baking, or taking care of her husband and their little girl and baby boy, Shauna can be found hunting for great pastries and kitchen gadgetry and running the hills of San Francisco, California.
