Crunch Day: Free Apples at Human Services Regional Offices Thursday
The apple giveaway is part of the CalFresh program.
Thursday is Crunch Day at all 5 San Mateo County Human Services Regional Offices, from noon to 5 p.m.
A member of the CalFresh Team will be at each Regional Office greeting clients as they come into the lobby and passing out apples with a CalFresh sticker on them. They will use the opportunity to explain the new income limit.
A dietician will be at the Harbor Office demonstrating preparing a healthy snack, in addition to handing out information regarding healthy and nutritious eating.
