CURTIS DUNN OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF., NAMED TO U.S. TEAM TO COMPETE AT ITF YOUNG SENIORS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TURKEY
U.S. Sending 24 Athletes to Participate in Inaugural International Team Competition
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.β The USTA has announced that Curtis Dunn of San Francisco, Calif., is among the 24 players who will represent the United States at the inaugural ITF Young Seniors World Team Championships, the senior equivalent of tennisβ Davis Cup and Fed Cup competitions. The 24 American athletes will be competing against players from 25 other countries. The ITF Young Seniors World Team Championships is the highest-ranked event on the ITF Seniors Circuit for male and female players in the age categories of 35-45, and will be held from March 16- 29 in Antalya, Turkey. Prior to this year, these championships had been part of the ITF Seniors World Team Championships.
Dunn, a software developer, was a three time NCAA tennis team champion at Stanford in 1986, 1987 and 1989. Over the last decade he has been a five time member and three time captain of the World Senior Team. Dunn continues to be a longtime member of Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA), he is a four time Gay Games gold medalist.
American teams will be defending titles in the Margaret Court Cup (Womenβs 45) for third consecutive year, and the Dubler Cup (Menβs 45).

Following the ITF Young Seniors World Team Championships, the World Individual Championships will be held from March 16-29.
