Dollars and Sense: Youth and Money

Do you truly know the value of a dollar?


β€œMoney Smart Week @ your library” kicks off with a workshop led by the San Mateo District H&R Block. The Dollar and Sense program is geared toward youth and teens, teaching them smart money sense. Do you truly know the value of a dollar? Do you know how to take advantage of technology to budget, save, set goals, and establish good financial habits? This presentation will teach you the basics of managing your money so you can enjoy it now and in the future. H&R Block set out to give this generation America’s youth the knowledge and confidence to manage its own financial future.

About Money Smart Week
β€œMoney Smart Week @ your library,” a national initiative in its fifth year (in 2015) between the ALA and the Federal Reserve Bank (Chicago) to provide financial literacy programming to help members of your community better manage their personal finances.

This free event will take place Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11am South San Francisco Main Public Library.
