FIRST BANK'S FRANCIS LAU RECOGNIZED FOR GIVING BACK TO BAY AREA
First Bank's Francis Lau gets the 2014 Outstanding Giving Back Award from the Gum Moon Women's Residence and Asian Women's Resource Center.

First Bank’s Francis Lau has received the 2014 Outstanding Giving Back Award from the Gum Moon Women’s Residence and Asian Women’s Resource Center (AWRC). Lau, Vice President and Area Manager at First Bank, was recognized at the non-profit organization’s Annual Benefit Dinner in San Francisco. Presenting the award to Lau was Susan Montoya, Senior Vice President/Corporate CRA Officer in the Corporate Reinvestment Act (CRA) Department at First Bank. Presenting Certificates of Honor to all the recipients was Peter Goetze, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Northern California, and President of the Board of Directors for AWRC. Assisting Goetze was Gloria Tan, Executive Director for AWRC. A longtime volunteer in the San Francisco community, Lau has helped support and sponsor many local non-profit organizations over the past two decades. He currently serves on three boards: Cameron House in Chinatown, Habitat for Humanity, and the Golden Gate Regional Center. Lau is also an active volunteer and member of Operation Hope’s Banking On Our Future Program. In addition to Lau, other award recipients were Linda Wang and Geoffrey Palermo. Both received 2014 Outstanding Community Awards. The Gum Moon Women’s Residence and Asian Women’s Resource Center is a community outreach organization that address the needs of women and children in geographic and social transition.
