Laggies stars Keira Knightley as Megan, a 28-year-old woman who is in the throes of a quarter-life crisis. Without any drive to think about her future, she is lagging a few steps behind instead of celebrating her grown-up status. When Megan’s boyfriend (Mark Webber) proposes, she panics and hides out in the home of her new friend, 16-year-old Annika (Chloë Grace Moretz), and Annika’s world-weary single dad Craig (Sam Rockwell).

With her unique directorial dexterity, Lynn Shelton (Your Sister’s Sister, Humpday) projects Laggies as a sweet, coming-of-age romantic comedy about three people who find their lives intertwined in the most unconventional way.
Director Lynn Shelton will be in attendance for a special Q&A session on Saturday, Nov. 1, following the 7:25 p.m. screening of the movie at AMC Metreon (101 4th Street, 3rd Floor, San Francisco, CA, 94103).
