At Least Nine Cars Stolen from Peninsula Auto Dealership in Weekend Heist

Police have recovered one of the cars in the East Bay.

Belmont police are investigating a weekend burglary at an auto dealership in which at least nine vehicles were stolen from the location.

Belmont Police Captain Patrick Halleran says that an unknown suspect or group of suspects scaled the fence at Autobahn Motors in the 700 block of Island Parkway sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday.

“The suspects then gained entry to an outbuilding and stole an undetermined amount of car keys,” Halleran said. “The suspects then used the keys to steal several cars, which had been left at the dealership for repair.”
