Man Arrested For Felony DUI After Scooter Crash

The suspect hit a home in South San Francisco and injured his passenger, police said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI following an alleged crash into a home Monday evening in South San Francisco, police said Tuesday.

South San Francisco man Yuri Escobar, 42, was driving a scooter at around 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Rockwood Drive when he allegedly lost control of the scooter and crashed into the home.

Police said another person on the scooter suffered injuries not considered life-threatening. She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Police said Escobar was arrested and taken to the county jail on suspicion of DUI.
