Our May plant sale is a special event! As usual, there will be plenty of non-thirsty summer-blooming natives for your garden-like golden aster, buckwheat, seaside daisy and lizard tail-all so important to bees and butterflies.
In addition, local artists and activist Beth Grossman will be showing her traveling art exhibit "The Law of Seeds" that invites people to appreciate the wonders of seeds and the importance of protecting this precious component of our food chain.
Native Seed Seminar at 11am: Joe Cannon, Stewardship Director, and Lawrence Fernandez, Nursery Manager, will guide visitors through the nursery and give a seminar on the biology of native seeds, seed germination, seed collection and use as part of native plant propagation and habitat restoration.
Payment by check, cash, and now credit card! Please bring your own carry-out boxes!
Can't make it to the May 17th sale? The nursery is now open by appointment only Thursday through Saturday with a $100 minimum order. Call the office at 415-467-6631 or email our Nursery Manager Lawrence at lfernandez@mountainwatch.org for your appointment.
