Modulus Global CEO on Globalization
Modulus Global CEO, Richard Gardner, ponders on globalization, international business, and the financial tech firm's expansion into India.

Early Thursday morning, Modulus Global CEO responded to Keith Bradsher’s article which broke in the New York Times the previous day on risks of globalization. ”B-Schools across the globe are demanding students spend increased time studying what they call ’international business.’ Even at the best, most courses are introductory, even the non-introductory, in part due to the shear magnitude of what is entailed when we discuss ’international business,’” Gardner wrote.
Gardner announced earlier this year that the financial tech firm, which serves 2.7 million end-users across 94 countries, would be opening a brick and mortar location in Mumbai, India. “Globalization isn’t just about expanding your operations. It isn’t just about moving to the next big thing. The next big market. The next big opportunity. Its about taking your corporate values and understanding and allowing the local market to use them as a template to make the micro-economy work for everybody---the company and the regional stakeholder,” Gardner continued.
In his article, he wrote about the power of people, saying, “Good people make good things happen.“
