SUSTAINABLE FOOD SERVICE WARE ORDINANCE

The City Council recently adopted a Sustainable Food Service Ware ordinance that requires food vendors in San Bruno to use disposable products that are resuable, recyclable or compostable by April 1, 2010.

SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING

San Bruno Garbage Co., Inc. offers Single Stream Recycling to San Bruno Residents and Businesses. They collect cans, glass and plastic bottles, small household batteries, paper and cardboard.HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS

WASTE DROP-OFF

For your convenience, there are several drop-off locations around the county. Chemicals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and aerosols are considered toxic and must be dropped off.

Check for the recycled symbol on products that you purchase. Fleece, decking and paper are only a few products that are made from recycled materials.

DONATE AND REUSE ITEMS

Find a new home for something instead of sending it to the dumps. Items can be posted in a variety of locations for use by local groups or private citizens.
