San Francisco comfort-food icon changes culinary hands
Tommy's Joynt, one of San Francisco's longest thriving, comfort-food restaurants, has been acquired by long-time restaurateur Chris Henry.

Tommy’s Joynt, one of San Francisco’s longest thriving, comfort-food restaurants, has been acquired by long-time restaurateur Chris Henry.
Henry used SBA financing to purchase the iconic, decorated building at the corner of Geary and Van Ness that has housed Tommy’s for 47 years. Kelly Ryan of CDC Small Business Finance facilitated the financing in conjunction with Lighthouse Bank.
Henry vows to maintain Tommy’s current décor and no-frills menu of Tommy’s, San Francisco’s original hofbrau-style restaurant.

The SBA-504 loan Henry used to buy Tommy’s is specifically designed for small business owners who want to buy their own building. The SBA-504 program offers fixed-rate, 20-year financing and requires a 10% down-payment. Small business entrepreneurs who want to learn more can visit: SBA-504 Loan.
