San Mateo County Opposes Gun Shows at Cow Palace
The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution urging the state to ban gun shows at the Cow Palace.

From the Office of San Mateo County Supervisor David J. Canepa: The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution urging the state to ban gun shows at the Cow Palace in Daly City.
San Mateo County supervisors David J. Canepa and Dave Pine co-sponsored the resolution urging state lawmakers to support Senate Bill 221 (Wiener, Ting) which would end gun shows at the Cow Palace. The Board of Supervisors first passed a similar resolution in 2003.
“The state should not profit from the sales of guns,” Canepa said. “For 15 years this board has urged the state to ban gun shows at the Cow Palace to no avail. I supported Mark Leno’s effort in 2009 to end the shows and I stand with state Sen. Scott Wiener and Assemblyman Phil Ting today calling for a ban again.”
