• Sonora Pass Is Open for the Season Ahead of Schedule (activenorcal.com) — If you’re driving over the Sierra from Strawberry, Sonora Pass on Highway 108 is now open for the season, earlier than usual. Caltrans crews cleared snow and debris from the Sno-Park near Strawberry up to the 9,624-foot summit, but drivers should still watch for icy spots, especially overnight and early mornings.
