Chad And JT Fight City Hall For Your Right To Party: VIDEO

LA is looking to curb Hollywood Hills house parties, but "house party enthusiasts" and surfer bros Chad and JT won't take it lying down.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Hollywood House parties are under threat, but never fear: Chad and JT have come to the rescue. With the Los Angeles City Council considering a party pooper ordinance to curb the famous house parties of Hollywood, the bros knew they had to act.

So they marched up to the City Council podium and bared their surfer souls.

"What up, council. My name is Chad Kroeger, um, I am an activist and house party enthusiast," opened Kroeger. "Over the past week, I have been in a state of deep despair upon hearing the news that LA is trying to outlaw house parties in the Hollywood Hills. I am here determined to stop this future atroxity."

He went on to share a moving story about how he got the courage to ask the most popular girl at his school to the prom while chugging beer at a San Clemente house party when his buddy's parents were in Tahoe. As it turned out, she turned him down, an experience he relived when the council cut him off in favor of the next speaker.

"Raging at house parties is the truest way to party," he said before he was drowned out by a city councilman, calling, "Next."

That's when bro number two, JT gave his pitch to save Hollywood's treasured house parties.

"My name is JT Parr. I am also here to defend parties in the Hollywood Hills. I grew up like most like most kids — worrying that I couldn't bench two plates, that I wouldn't fit in, that I wouldn't find love," he said. "Then I discovered partying, and all those worries went to the wayside. I didn't need love: I had keg stands. I discovered I was great at raging, and it revealed wonderful things about myself. I could relate to bros regardless of what kind of bro they were."

Parties "are what's needed to unite the United States of America, added I'd like to share an anecdote. Chad and I were not always super tight bros. We were star crossed -- he was a surfer, I was a body boarder. We operated in different worlds."

We've seen Chad and JT before when the implored the San Clemente City Council earlier this year to erect a statue of "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker. Today, there is no Walker Statue in South OC, and if their partying pitch goes over as well with the Los Angeles City Council, there may not be any Hollywood Hills house parties either.

A city committee recently approved a draft measure that would subject a property owner to fines or a criminal charge over unruly parties.

The comedic duo from West Hollywood are actors played by John Parr Tom Allan.

City Council President Herb Wesson wasn't too impressed.

"Thank you," he said, ushering them along. "Thank you, and I want to welcome you to L.A. Council’s ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure."
