Officers ran after him and saw the subject was keeping one hand inside the front pocket of his hoodie as he ran. Fearing the suspect was carrying a weapon; officers deployed their Tasers in an attempt to stop the suspect. Unfortunately the Taser was ineffective and he continued to run away.
As the suspect ran onto Heather Drive from Atlantic Avenue, officers saw him throw a handgun into the yard of a residence.

In addition to being booked for Possession of a Concealed Firearm, Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with Removed Serial Numbers, and Resisting Arrest, Liberto was found to be in violation of the terms of his Post Community Release Community Supervision (PCRS).
