While still high, Sutter County prices undercut the California average of $6.01, reflecting broader fuel market swings tied to global oil supplies and refinery conditions. 
• Sutter County chase ends in canal crash, suspect found hiding in culvert (actionnewsnow.com) — A late-night burglary near Nicolaus led to a high-speed chase back into Sutter County, ending when a stolen GMC Sierra crashed into a drainage canal off Seymour Road. Deputies, CHP, and a Sutter County K9 tracked the suspect to a nearby culvert, where a Rancho Cordova man on supervision for prior firearm charges surrendered and was cited for multiple felonies.
