74 Registered Sex Offenders In Temecula Area Get Law Enforcement Visit
Law enforcement compliance checks involve routine visits to offenders' homes, places of employment, and/or schools they attend.

TEMECULA, CA — Deputies from the Southwest Sheriff's Station conducted a "compliance check" Thursday on 74 registered sex offenders living in the area. Law enforcement found that most of the offenders — though not all — are following the rules set forth in their sentencing and subsequent probation/parole terms, including registration in the California Sex Offender Registry.
The law enforcement compliance checks involve routine visits to offenders' homes, places of employment, and/or schools they attend.
During Thursday's check, 72 of the 74 registered sex offenders living in the Southwest Sheriff's Station jurisdiction were in compliance, according to the station that serves the city of Temecula, its nearby unincorporated areas, and some unincorporated areas east of Murrieta city limits.

Investigators are following up on the two registrants who were not in compliance; arrest warrants were being sought, according to the sheriff's station. Details on the offenders' identities and specific violations were not released.
