Anza Man Arrested In Father's Murder

ANZA, CA — A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after his father was found dead Wednesday in Anza, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were called at 12:30 p.m. to a report of a shooting on the 39000 block of Cary Road, where they found David Jose Holguin, 40, of Anza, deceased on the property, officials said.

Investigators from the Hemet station and the central homicide unit arrested the man’s son, Anthony Holguin, 22, of Anza, "for murder due to his involvement in his father’s death," the department said without elaborating on arrest details, possible motive or the victim's official cause of death.
