Applicants Sought For Idyllwild Historic Preservation Local Board
The board works to preserve the unique historic character of Idyllwild's commercial core.

Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington is looking to fill a vacant seat on the Idyllwild Historic Preservation Local Review Board.

Members of the Idyllwild Historic Preservation Local Review Board review proposed projects within the Idyllwild Historic District. The board provides a recommended approval, denial or approval with changes to the Riverside County Planning Director, who considers the board’s recommendation before approving or denying the project.
Appointees must be able to attend monthly meetings at the Idyllwild Library (54401 Village Center Dr.) once regular meetings resume. Currently, meetings are held virtually due to COVID-19. The appointee will serve a two-year term, after which time he or she may be considered for reappointment. All members serve without compensation. Members must adhere to the Ralph M. Brown Act.

All appointees shall reside within a three-mile radius of the Historic Preservation District’s boundaries. Applicants’ residency within the proper boundaries will be confirmed before they receive an application.
