Boys & Girls Club Of SW County Gets Active Shooter Survival Training
The Boys & Girls Club Of Southwest County serves youth throughout Temecula, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore.
SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The Boys & Girls Club of Southwest County is holding "active threat training" this week for staff and board members, it was announced Wednesday.
BGCSWC — which serves youth throughout Temecula, Murrieta, and Lake Elsinore — is holding the training as part of its effort to promote "a culture of safety to create a positive, safe environment" for staff, members and volunteers, according to a news release from the nonprofit.
Murrieta resident Michael Julian is leading the training. According to his bio, he is an active shooter survival instructor, personal protector, private investigator and author. He is also a BGCSWC board member and he's the CEO of A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training Program and MPS Security.

"The A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival training program helps to prepare for the unimaginable by protecting and empowering participants by making them aware of what to do in the event of an active shooter," according to the news release.
This week's training is the third A.L.I.V.E. training for BGCSWC staff.
