Homicide Investigation Continues Near Temecula Wine Country
A fatal shooting at a home in the 38000 block of Calaveras Road remains under investigation.

TEMECULA, CA — Homicide investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department are releasing few details about a man who was found shot to death early Thursday morning in Temecula's unincorporated area near Wine Country.
Deputies working out of the Southwest Station got a call around 4:02 a.m. about shots fired at a home in the 38000 block of Calaveras Road. Once on scene, the deputies found "a male with gunshot wounds and began life saving measures," the sheriff's department reported.
Despite efforts by first responders, the man died at the home. He has been identified by the sheriff's department as 48-year-old Allen Boone of San Bernardino.

According to the sheriff's department, the case is a homicide investigation although no arrests were announced and there was no indication that a suspect was being sought.
