RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Hotels, motels, and other short-term lodging across Riverside County, including home/vacation rentals, have been ordered to halt their normal business.

An order issued Friday by Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser allows such businesses to operate only for the purpose of providing lodging for homeless people; for essential workers; for people who must leave their homes to safely isolate away from other family members; or for family members displaced due to someone self-isolating at home.

“Now isn’t the time to visit Riverside County,” Kaiser said. “Slowing the spread of COVID-19 means folks need to stay put in their own neighborhoods. Unless you’ve got nowhere else safe to be, please visit later.”
