Patch Takes Down My Coronavirus Blog -- Steals Idea
Instead of reaching out to maybe partner up, Patch moderators take down my posts, then start similar blog. I reached to see why? Silence.

Couldn't They Have at Least Reached Out?
This is a short piece and will not be filled with a elongated rant because the title says it all. Seeing a good opportunity to break down the every day happenings in Riverside County pertaining to coronavirus news, I decided to make a daily piece for my website, The Bull Media, but Patch.com moderators took down my posts and started a similar one of their own.
It happened slowly. I started to see my posts begin to disappear from my article management section and reached out to see why? -- they did not respond. About a week later, lo and behold, a coronavirus "blog" is advertised as a featured article on a banner at the top of the page. Would have been nice if they reached out to me... at least.

As an experienced political operative working on both Republican and Democrat campaigns, I wanted to add a perspective that focuses on how leadership and administrations were handling, commenting and planning for the future. That is now taken away in an instant and without reason -- other than the fact they just happened to start a blog similar to mine.
I understand that as a Patch.com moderator, they have the ability to do so, but the issue lies in principle. I also understand that I can just also keep posting, but if Patch.com just keeps authoritatively stealing story ideas and taking down local reporter's posts -- then what would be the point?
