Police: Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation of Temecula Walmart
An anonymous man allegedly phoned Walmart in Temecula Wednesday night, advising a bomb had been left in the building, police said.

Walmart in Temecula was evacuated by police Wednesday night when the store received an alleged bomb threat.
According to Temecula police Lt. Aveling, an anonymous man called , shortly before 10:37 p.m. Wednesday and advised a bomb had been left in the building.
"No further information was provided by the unknown caller," Aveling said, in a news release.

Temecula police officers quickly responded to Walmart and as a safety precaution, evacuated 50 night-time employees while officers checked the building, the lieutenant said.
Officers did not find any suspicious items or packages after conducting a "systematic search" of the store, Aveling said.

Employees returned to work and Walmart resumed business as usual, he said.
