Police: Temecula Man Robs Local Wells Fargo Bank, Holes Up in Nearby Apartment
Witnesses apparently spotted the suspect flee into a nearby apartment complex following the alleged crime.

TEMECULA, CA - A man suspected of robbing a Temecula bank was being held today in lieu of $35,000 bail.
Kevin Louis Santos, 28, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
According to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Jon Wade, Santos approached a teller in the Wells Fargo Bank at 27630 Ynez Road at about noon and handed her a note demanding cash.

The teller complied, and Santos fled the location with an undisclosed amount of money, Wade said.
He said witnesses pointed arriving deputies toward an apartment complex on nearby Moraga Road, to where the suspect ran. Shortly after 5 p.m., Santos was located inside one of the units and was taken into custody without incident, according to sheriff's officials.

He has no prior misdemeanor or felony convictions in Riverside County.
