Stolen Temecula Truck, 'Significant Amount' Of Meth Recovered In Traffic Stop: Police
Murrieta police say the wanted man was pulled over in a traffic stop on Cal Oaks Road.

MURRIETA, CA – A probationer driving a stolen truck with stolen plates was nabbed with "a significant amount of methamphetamine" over the weekend, Murrieta police say. What's more, the man was in possession of packaging for narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia, according to police.
Murrieta Police Lt. Tony Conrad says that an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 40900 block of California Oaks Road around 12:26 a.m. Saturday. A records check soon revealed that the licence plate on the truck had been reported stolen out of Lake Elsinore last month.
"The officer contacted the sole occupant of the truck, identified as Jamey Johnson," Conrad said. "A check of Mr. Johnson revealed that he had an outstanding felony warrant for narcotics and the possession of stolen vehicles for his arrest."

As Johnson, 41, was placed under arrest for the warrants, the police officer search the truck, Conrad said. It was then that police discovered, through the VIN, that the vehicle had been stolen from Temecula on Friday.
"Inside the truck, the officer located several tools frequently used to commit burglary, a significant amount of methamphetamine and marijuana, packaging for narcotics, and narcotics paraphernalia," Conrad added.
