Temecula's Measure S: 2016 Election Results

TEMECULA, CA – In addition to the 17 statewide measures on Tuesday's ballot, Temecula voters will also consider a local measure: Measure S.

If approved, Measure S will add one percent to the city's sales tax rate, taking it from 8 percent to 9 percent. Supporters of the measure say it's necessary to maintain Temecula's pubic safety and quality of life services and stress that all money generated will stay local. Opponents, however, say council should balance the current budget better.
