Woman Attacked In Temecula Pharmacy Dies From Injuries; Suspect Could Face Murder Charge
The 54-year-old victim was assaulted Tuesday night inside a CVS on Rancho California Road.

Temecula, CA — A 54-year-old woman who was attacked in a Temecula pharmacy died of her injuries, and her alleged assailant could face a murder charge, authorities said today.
Tammy Serrano of Temecula died about 9:30 Tuesday night at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Brian Eldon Saylor, 31, of Temecula, is being held in lieu of $1million bail at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta. The District Attorney's Office is expected to file a criminal complaint by tomorrow morning.

According to sheriff's officials, deputies were called to the CVS Pharmacy at 31771 Rancho California Road, in the shopping district just off Meadows Parkway, shortly after 5 p.m. Monday to investigate reports of an assault.
Sheriff's Sgt. Ray Huskey said deputies found Serrano inside the store "suffering from serious injuries.''

Pharmacy employees were holding the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Saylor and identified him as the alleged attacker, according to Huskey. He did not disclose a possible motive or how the suspect and victim knew one another, if at all.
Serrano was transported to the hospital, where she remained on life support until Tuesday night.
Saylor was taken into custody without incident. He has no listed felony or misdemeanor convictions in Riverside County.
