Your day begins with a lesson on land before heading out for a paddle. Along the way, your guides will discuss geology, ecology, and other aspects of the natural world as well as fascinating human history topics. Depending on the lake's conditions, you may paddle along the expansive shoreline of King's Beach or the picturesque coastline towards Carnelian Bay. As you float through the water, the experience of the views through your clear kayak paired with the stunning views of the nearby peaks is unforgettable. Our tour is sure to leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated as you take in the natural beauty and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Clear Kayaks allow you to learn about the lake ecology up close with views of the rock formations through the incredibly clear water. This picturesque tour is sure to provide snapshots for the whole family!<h3>Tour Overview</h3>
Tour Time:&nbsp;Every Day 9:30 – 11:00am. Early Morning Tours available by request with a 4 person minimum! Tour Meeting Location: Tahoe Vista Recreation Area Typical Tour Distance: 1-2 miles Level of Difficulty: Easy Trip Cost: $109 per person (2 person minimum to run the tour) Age Minimum: 8 years old ---Your party must know how to swim--- **A $2 per person NTPUD Park Mitigation Fee is applied to all tours at Tahoe Vista Recreation Area.**

Float in a kayak on the clear blue water while the sun sets the sky on fire, the full moon rises, and the stars twinkle! The water will be calm and quiet as the wind dies down and other boats button up for the night. Increase your knowledge of astronomy with jaw dropping views of Lake Tahoe illuminated by the light of the full moon. We paddle for about two hours before landing on the beach to cap it all off with hot drinks, snacks, and more stargazing on the beach.
When the moon isn't Full, Sunset paddles are still offered.

Wild Rose Medicine

Wild Rose Medicine is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic at 475 North Lake Blvd, Suite 205, in Tahoe City, California. Dedicated to accessible holistic health care, it serves the North Lake Tahoe community through a sliding-scale model that ensures consistent, high-quality treatment for all patients. Led by Dr. Elena Roemer, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, the practice focuses on integrative wellness and community-based healing. The clinic specializes in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative consultations, addressing needs including fertility support, pain management, stress, anxiety, and hormonal health. Dr. Roemer, NCCAOM certified and licensed by the California Board of Acupuncture, combines Eastern medicine with a trauma-informed approach to create personalized treatment plans. Patients can expect a welcoming, calm environment where their health history and individual needs are met with deep presence and intuition. Wild Rose Medicine was co-founded by Dr. Roemer's husband, Brian Wallace, a Sierra Nevada naturalist and field guide. Together they lead the clinic's educational programming: a growing series of guided plant walks and hands-on workshops that carry its mission beyond the treatment room and into the landscape. Participants learn to identify local wild edible and medicinal plants and explore their uses through foraging, herbalism, and the energetics of Chinese medicine, alongside the ethnobotany, folklore, and ecology of the Tahoe Sierra. These offerings invite neighbors and visitors alike to build a deeper relationship with the wild places of North Lake Tahoe.
