33-Year-Old Man Shot to Death Outside of Union City Nightclub Friday

A 33-year-old man was shot to death in the parking lot of a Union City nightclub Friday night, police said today. Police said officers responded at 11:46 p.m. to The Spot bar, located at 32611 Alvarado Blvd., on a report of a shooting.
Arriving officers were directed to a 33-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. The officers immediately began performing CPR and other life-saving measures, but police said the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses in the area told police the suspects got into a white van. Officers in the Fremont Police Department saw a van matching the witnesses’ descriptions and stopped the van on Interstate Highway 680 near Washington Boulevard, according to police. Two people were arrested at the car stop and police said a subsequent investigation confirmed they were the suspects in the homicide.

Police said identification of the suspects is pending further investigation. The identity of the man who died will be released following notification of next of kin, police said.
