Double Shooting In Union City

UNION CITY, CA — A Union City cul-de-sac erupted in gunfire Friday when a police pursuit from Fremont ended with two suspects shot and a third in custody. No officers or bystanders were injured.

Union City Police are taking the lead in the investigation. They report that Fremont Police officers responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Sephora store at Pacific Commons shopping center shortly before 7 p.m. As officers arrived, they spotted the suspect vehicle from the robbery and chased it.

The suspect vehicle drove into a cul de sac at the end of Balmoral Street in Union City, where the shooting happened. The two injured suspects were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
