FDA Recall: La Terra Fina Spinach, Artichoke And Parmesan Dip, Spread
Just one "Best By" date is included in the recall.

UNION CITY, CA — La Terra Fina is recalling 10 oz. containers of Spinach, Artichoke & Parmesan Dip & Spread because of undeclared egg. According to the FDA, "People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product."
The recall only covers containers with a BEST BY NOV-01-2017 date.
The dip and spread was sold in 31 states and the District of Columbia, including California. It is typically stocked in the deli or produce sections, near hummus.

The best by date can be found on the top label.

The problem is that the back label on the dip and spread is for a different product, with an ingredient list that does not contain egg.

There have been no reports of illness because of the mislabeling.
If you have purchased the product and have an allergy to eggs, throw it away or return to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you are not allergic to egg, the product is safe to eat.
