• Wahab clinches congressional seat as election edge widens in latest results drop (danvillesanramon.com) — Union City is part of the newly decided Congressional District 14 seat, where State Sen. Aisha Wahab has secured a decisive win in the August 18 special runoff. She'll serve the final five months of the term representing communities including Union City while preparing for a November rematch with Melissa Hernandez for the full two-year term.
