Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries in Tri-City Hit-And-Run

A hit-and-run collision in Fremont left a pedestrian with major injuries last weekend, according to police. Officers received calls on Sunday just after midnight regarding a collision between a vehicle and a male pedestrian near Mission Boulevard and Mayhews Road, according to Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.

After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, police said. The victim suffered major but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital, police said. No information was immediately available on the suspect or vehicle in the hit-and-run.
