Union City Graduation Requirements Changed: Coronavirus
New Haven Unified School Board Approved the changes for all current high school students.
UNION CITY, CA — Coronavirus shelter-in-place orders have thrown schools into disarray, and the New Haven Unified School District Board has approved modified graduation requirements for all current high school students.
The Board approved the following changes:
- Suspending the 2.0 Grade Point Average requirement for current high school students (Classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023)
- Class of 2020 - waive the community service graduation requirement
- Class of 2021 - students must complete 15 hours of community service in order to graduate
- Classes of 2022 and 2023- students must complete 20 hours of community service in order to graduate
- Waiving the Community Service requirement for New Haven Adult School Class of 2020
