Union City Police Arrest 2 Attempted Armed Robbery Suspects
One of the suspects used a pellet gun in the robbery attempt, according to police.

UNION CITY, CA — Police in Union City have arrested two people in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred last week.
On May 22 at 9:30 p.m., officers with the Union City Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery in the area of the 34800 block of 11th Street. Police said the suspects led a group of victims into a secluded area near railroad tracks and attempted to rob the victims.
The robbery attempt was unsuccessful, and the suspects were located in the area and identified by the victims, police said.

Brian Melgoza, 18, and Alejandro Flores, 23, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, police said.
Police said one of the suspects was in possession of a pellet gun that was used in the attempted robbery.
