• Dead cats found in freezer, 500 others rescued from California nonprofit: authorities (wutv29.com) — Upland residents should know that local Animal Control and Upland police helped uncover more than 500 living and dead cats, plus several dogs, tied to a Pomona-based rescue organization after allegations of inhumane conditions. Authorities say many animals were malnourished or injured, and surviving cats and dogs are now being evaluated while the investigation continues and potential charges are reviewed.
