Coronavirus In Venice, Mar Vista: 258 Cases

VENICE, CA — Health officials Wednesday reported 2,496 new COVID-19 cases across Los Angeles County along with 19 more deaths.

There are a total of 258 reported cases in Venice and Mar Vista.

There are 111 reported cases in Venice and two reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials Wednesday. There are 147 reported cases in Mar Vista and five reported deaths.

Last week, there were 215 reported cases in Venice and Mar Vista and seven reported deaths, according to Los Angeles County health officials. The week before, there were 194 reported cases and two deaths in Venice and Mar Vista.

The virus is spiking statewide, with Los Angeles County seeing record numbers for new coronavirus cases.

In Santa Monica, a worker at a Whole Foods Market on Montana Avenue tested positive for COVID-19.

In Culver City, eight police department employees also tested positive.
